Collection: Samar Taher
Samar Taher is an Egyptian Author, scriptwriter, storyteller, and a member of the Egyptian Writers Union.
She earned a master’s degree in mass communication, Cairo University.
She has published more than thirty-five books, by Egyptian and Arabic publishing houses, including books for children and young adults.
Her book “For one simple reason!” was shortlisted in the Etisalat Award 2019, best text category.
She co-wrote a number of Egyptian and Arabic TV dramas and has participated in “Ahlan Simsim” workshop in Jordan, which is the Arabic version of the American series Sesame Street.
She won the Sawiris Cultural Award in 2020.
Her series “I dream” by Dar al Saqi is dedicated to show a different perspective for many jobs, encouraging children to think outside the box when planning their careers, and challenging traditional stereotypes for gender roles.
Samar believes that a good Children’s story, is a good story for adults as well!
